DePaul University has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: DePaul Office of Alumni Relations.
Your IP address is used to help identify you and your personal profile and to gather broad demographic information. We use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests. Our site's profile form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and e-mail address), unique identifiers and demographic information (such as zip code, age, or income level). We use contact information from the registration form to send the user information about the university. The contact information is also used to contact our alumni when necessary. We may share contact information with third-party vendors with whom the university may have contracted. Users may opt-out of receiving future electronic contact; see the choice/opt-out section below. Unique identifiers are collected to verify the user's identity and for use as account numbers in our record system. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor the visitor's experience at our site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in.

Though we may partner with a company to provide added services and benefits to our alumni, we do not pass any information through internet technologies to our partners.
Our site uses forms for alumni to request information, products, services, or fill out surveys. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders, confirmation notices and/or electronic receipts to our alumni. Forms that require financial information are always secured using secure-socket layer. We do not store our alumni financial information in our internet database.
Public Forums
This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our alumni information database is made available as a service to other DePaul University alumni. Alumni can access the information database only after logging on with a username and password. Any forms that require financial information are secured using secure socket layer. Profile pages are secured using secure socket layer.
Choice/Opt-Out
Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving electronic communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor. This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service.
