Theatre and Jazz Improvisation at DePaul
In September 2009, President’s Club members and friends had the exclusive opportunity to watch the creative process unfold, as faculty members guided talented School of Music and Theatre School students through the exhilarating process of improvising jazz and theatre.

In August, President’s Club members and friends celebrated DePaul at a reception in the new Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago.

DePaul University commissioned recent graduate Kristin La Voie (LAS ’09) to capture architectural images of DePaul’s two main campuses. In summer 2009, select photos were featured in an exclusive stationery set given to members of the President’s Club, DePaul’s annual giving society, in appreciation for their generous support of the university.

Vincentian Identity and Philanthropy: A Night of Stories
During Philanthropy Week at DePaul, President’s Club members, DePaul alumni and friends gathered for an uplifting night of stories about how philanthropy has helped further the mission of DePaul.

Women in Business: The Changing Face of Leadership
In January, 116 President’s Club members and friends attended an exclusive luncheon featuring DePaul faculty co-authors of the groundbreaking book “Women in Business: The Changing Face of Leadership” and the dynamic female leaders profiled in it. This was the second event in the new President’s Club Showcase Excellence Series, which puts the spotlight on excellence at DePaul University.

PCAC partied on the Demon Deck
On Jan. 17, 2009, the President's Club Advisory Council (PCAC) hosted more than 30 current, new and prospective President’s Club members and guests on the Demon Deck at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. Old and new friends socialized while cheering on the DePaul men’s basketball team against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, president of DePaul, joined the festivities and thanked the PCAC for its work to engage and recognize President’s Club members.

Nobel Laureate speaks to donors and friends about science education
In September 2008, some 80 President's Club members, DePaul faculty and students, and friends of the university attended a special presentation by Leon Lederman, Nobel Laureate in physics and director emeritus of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. During his presentation titled "Advice to the New President on Science Education," Lederman argued that politicians and business professionals need to understand science to solve the long list of critical issues facing the nation. This understanding begins with better science education, according to Lederman.

"Catholic Chicago" at the Chicago History Museum: April 2008
Some 240 President's Club members, DePaul students and friends of the university attended an exclusive tour of the Chicago History Museum exhibition "Catholic Chicago." The exhibition, which runs through Jan. 4, 2009, is the first in a groundbreaking series examining communities of faith that have contributed to Chicago's traditions and its evolution as a major urban center.

President's Holiday Celebration: December 2008
At the annual President’s Holiday Celebration, the Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M., president of DePaul University, extended a warm thanks to President’s Club members for their unflagging support of the university. The event features performances by School of Music choirs, a signature beverage and decadent dessert, and the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
