Description: This Thanksgiving season, alumni and friends of DePaul are invited to make a positive difference in the Washington, D.C. area by giving back to the community.

On Nov. 21, Fannie Mae will host its annual Help the Homeless Walkathon. The Walkathon helps raise awareness of the struggling homeless population in the D.C. area and also helps raise funds to support organizations working to reduce homelessness.

To register, please visit the Help the Homeless registration webpage. As an added bonus, you have the option to select which charity organization will receive your funds.

The Walkathon route is approximately 3 miles and may be taken at your own pace. You're welcome to bring friends, family--even pets--though please keep in mind that registering the morning of the event is slightly more expensive than pre-registering.
