Speaking of volunteer events, mark your calendar for Vincentian Service Day, May 2, 2009. Hundreds of DePaul alumni, students, faculty and staff will come together for a day of service at nonprofit organizations nationwide. We're currently planning this event and would love your recommendations for a service project in your area! Benefit of the Month: Medical and Life Insurance
Alumni are eligible for long- and short-term medical insurance plans offered by the Office of Alumni Relations in partnership with American Insurance Administrators (AIA). AIA offers a wide variety of plans including health, life and travel insurance. For more information about the program, please visit the Alumni Insurance Program Web site.


Alumni Profile: Music School Memories with Robert Tenges (MUS '92)
TengesDePaul alumnus Robert Tenges (MUS '92) takes his music school memories to work every day as director of education and programs for Chicago's nationally renowned Old Town School of Folk Music, where he oversees hundreds of classes serving close to 6,500 students annually. Career Week 2009 Events Start Feb. 16
It's not too late to register for DePaul's Career Week 2009. Events are scheduled throughout the week of Feb. 16-22 and will be held on several of DePaul's campuses. Science Building Officially Opens with Ribbon Cutting
Ribbon CuttingDePaul celebrated the opening of the Monsignor Andrew J. McGowan Science Building, centerpiece of the university's $20 million Campaign for Excellence in Science, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 6. At the ceremony, the Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M., president of DePaul, thanked the "many women and men who stepped forward and gave their time, passion and resources to raise DePaul another step higher." Watch as DePaul journalism major Gabriel Evelyn takes us on an inside look at the new building.


Vincentian Archives Now Available Online
DePaul University's vast international collection of documents relating to the life and work of St. Vincent de Paul is now available in the new Via Sapientiae digital repository. Bringing together all of the university's Vincentian library research and scholarly resources, this online repository includes more than 20,000 pages of material -- and more will be uploaded over the next few years. DePaul Establishes New Center for Jewish Law and Judaic Studies
The College of Law at DePaul University has established a new Center for Jewish Law and Judaic Studies (JLJS). The only law school center in Illinois to focus on Jewish law and culture, JLJS will provide top-quality Jewish legal education in the state. Programs at JLJS will help law students and the legal community to better understand Jewish law and its place in the legal landscape.
